SHIPPER/RECEIVER - WAREHOUSE - PT
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School education required or equivalent training and experience.
- Possess a valid driver’s license.
- Possess or be willing to possess the proper training to operate forklift equipment.
- Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.
REPORTS TO:
Purchasing Supervisor
JOB GOAL:
To safeguard the district’s investment in materials through efficient and effective warehousing practices.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Be able to take direction and work independently, as well as a team in carrying out the warehousing program for equipment and supplies.
- Be able to help with the inventory and stock control program for equipment and supplies.
- Be able to receive shipments and confirm orders.
- Be able to drive a truck and/or van to deliver the provision of equipment and supplies to new and existing facilities of the district.
- Perform such tasks as may from time to time be assigned by the Board Secretary/School Business Administrator or Purchasing Supervisor.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand and walk for extended periods of time. There is bending at the waist, pushing, pulling, twisting, turning, kneeling and operating equipment to move shipments on and off delivery vehicles.
- The employee must regularly lift and/or move 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
COMPENSATION:
$18.00 an hour
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
12 Months
EVALUATION:
Performance of this job will be evaluated annually in accordance with provisions of the Board’s policy on Evaluation of Personnel.
